Virtual Tour
By QR code into the cellar worlds
In addition to the book "Kellerwelten – Weinwelten: Das Kellerensemble von Girlan – ein europäisches Unikat", a digital cellar tour through Girlan has been created. For this virtual tour, almost two dozen cellars were selected and the consent of the owners has been obtained.
As a prerequisite for the virtual cellar tour, the building photographs, photos and brief information from the book were placed on an online platform. A sign measuring around 20 x 20 cm with a QR code and the name of the farm and/or the name of the owner were attached to the houses with significant cellars.
Locals and guests can thus scan the QR codes with their smartphones during a walk through the village and get the Girlan cellar treasures directly on their mobile phone screens. They are wonderful insights with depth effect.
Short films have been made of four of the wine estates below, on the initiative of the Curatorship of Technical Heritage. They are to be understood as a first step, which will gradually be followed by others. They are marked with the following symbol: ➤
